My opinion about crypto phones and their utility on intelligence field.

I have to say that I am not a fan of encrypted phones. Let me explain to you: what do you think will do an intelligence agency in case the target is using an encrypted phone?

For sure they will use some other ways to get the info they need. They will not waiting for some security flaws, they will not try to perform a deciphering attempt or something... They will simply use ambient interception, human sources, etc. They can easely bypass the communications protection given by the encrypted phones by simply collecting info from other sources. Simple as that...

My point is that even you are using an encrypted phone to protect your communications, an intelligence agency can get that info from other sources, not only from your phone. Is that right?

Encrypted phones are used to protect communications against who? Against that ones who detain cellular interceptors. Is that right? Who are they? Obviously gvt. organisations, intelligence agencies and other authorized bodies to detain and use an cell interceptor in a legal way.
I know, there are very few which are using this technology on their own, but on a illegal manner... This guys are not really count in this equation.

Now, talking about lawful interception performed by an intelligence agency (a gvt. one): they will use for sure another ways to get the info they need, in case that the phone is not possible to be intercepted due to encrypted voice and data comms. Is that right? They are pro intelligence officers, and phone interception is just a way to get the info, but there are more other ways to get the relevant info.

What I'm saying is that an encrypted phone can not entirely secure your secrets... Because your secrets are not only on communications. Are almost... everywhere.

The good point I've only see on crypto phones: your own phone conversations can not be transformed in legal proof and used against you.
